Build Selenium-based API endpoint with always-on chromedriver to query an external iframe – Upwork

Hi! We need to create Selenium-based API endpoint (chromedriver on ubuntu VPS, possibly in python) tool to query an iframe on the page and return results in JSON. The working prototype is built in python and executes the task in 7-12 seconds navigating through several pages prior to querying the resource.

The task is to rewrite the Selenium logic and create always-on headless chromedriver process that will interact with single iframe only and return results instantly bypassing all prior navigation. The process must be kept alive and restarted if needed, but the API endpoint response time can't surpass 2.5 seconds.
Please do not talk about your experience, rather communicate how would you go about executing the task.
