Pixel Perfect WordPress Dev (DESIGNER) – oDesk

==Pixel Perfect WordPress Dev sought for Australian Web Development Agency==

Do you obsess over getting the right font, fuss over responsive break points and stay up all night polishing your Behance profile? We want you to help us make our clients' websites look amazing.

==About Us==

Nuanced IT was founded on the philosophy that software should be built to fit around humans rather than forcing people to fit themselves around clunky and unintuitive interfaces.

We specialize in customizing off-the-shelf systems to meet a business' needs. Our focus is on the Zoho Suite (Zoho CRM, Zoho Creator). Often clients will ask us to set up integrations between Zoho products and their other systems (e.g. MYOB, Dropbox, Xero, Podio) so that all their apps talk to each other. By the time we're done, all the apps are moulded around the business' processes so the learning curve looks like a skate ramp instead of a mountain.

We’ve worked on projects for clients including Microsoft, Intel, Downer EDI, Yarra Valley Water and Search results.

Our goal is to use IT to benefit society. Our ideal clients are organisations working to promote environmental or social sustainability. We've worked for:
• Yarra Valley Water
• Harvest Cellular (mobile phone recycling company)
• Evoque Energy (a community solar enterprise)
• Sustainable Gardening Australia

==What kind of skills do you need?==

Our ideal candidate could happily (and honestly) tick off the following boxes:
a. > 3 years experience with PSD->WordPress experience
b. Amazing design skills
c. Basic PHP + JS skills to adjust plugins when required
d. Experience with Git development workflows
e. Familiar with Scrum practices (agile project management)
f.  Familiar with Atlassian Jira
g. Responsive design experience

==What’s in it for you? ==

–Learn lots–

If you’re keen to cut your teeth on the latest dev technologies, we’re open to innovation. The difference between us and a large corporate is that we haven’t got bloated systems yet (and hopefully never!) so you’ll have a lot of say in what frameworks and environments we use. If there’s a technology you've been dying to learn, we’re happy to support you in it both by giving you free time to explore it and by paying for courses or books. You’ll get a professional development budget each year and it will be your choice how you use it.

–Inspiring and Fun Culture–

We pride ourselves on our company culture. Our goal is to make both our customers and our employees happy. We’ll figure out fun activities to do together both virtually and in real-space (Jeremy will come and visit you every now and then).

–Make the world a better place–

We have a pro-bono arm where our workers can spend 20% of their time working for not-for-profits/social enterprises. Our current pro-bono clients include:
• Ridesharing Oz (a carpooling/ridesharing website)
• GeoProvide (helps cut water consumption for tree growers by up to 90% through their soil conditioner product)

==How will it work?==

Ah so you’re still interested huh? Here are some answers to questions you might have.

–Where will I work?–

Wherever you’d like to work. If you want to work from home, that’s fine. If you’d like to work out of a co-working space or office, we’re happy to pay for that (within reason). We want you to feel comfortable rather than forcing you to conform to inflexible standards.

–Who will I report to?–

Jeremy Nagel, the Head Geek at Nuanced IT, will be your first point of contact. You'll also be working with our ninja project managers who are scattered around Philippines and Bangladesh. As you won’t be co-located, we’ll use a variety of tools like Skype/Google Hangout/Join.Me/Atlassian Jira/email to share screens and communicate about bugs/features.

–How long is the contract?–

The initial contract will be for 3 months
