Job Description – Graphic Designer(Home based)

An Outsourcing company is in need of several Graphic Designers that can work from home for Canadian clients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design graphics for both print and web including logos, advertisements, brochures, web banners & web site layouts
• Creating print ready files
• Design templates for presentations, proposals, contracts etc.
• Design branding graphics for use in social media marketing platforms (for example: Creating twitter backgrounds, Facebook cover profile graphics, and design of Facebook Ad graphics.
• Assist campaign planning, post scheduling & community management of various Social Media Marketing campaigns
• Assisting with overall project task management and testing
• Liaising directly with clients on project status, review and management of various projects
Skills Requirements:
Graphic Designer (General)
• Background in fine arts, graphic design, or publishing combined with college courses in Computer Science
• Minimum 1 year working experience in Graphic Design
• Intermediate to Expert knowledge of:
– Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
• Basic to Intermediate experience with: Keynote, Numbers, Pages (mac) / Word, Excel, Powerpoint
• The ideal candidate must have
o Strong understanding of prepress requirements
o Strong understanding of layout design and user-interface planning of websites
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills
o Very basic HTML & CSS knowledge
o Be extremely detailed and organized
o Able to produce accurate, precise work under minimal supervision and tight deadlines
o Great time management skills
o Able to take initiative to research and gather information
o An entrepreneurial spirit
o Strong written and verbal communication skills
For Web Designers:
• Minimum 1 year experience as Web Designer / Developer.
• Excellent knowledge of current web-design trends and techniques.
• Expert knowledge and proficiency in design tools
• Creative Suite Products, Dreamweaver, Flash, HTML/XHTML/CSS.
• Knowledge and demonstrated experience with cross-browser and cross platform
requirements (IE, Firefox, Safari, etc.).
• Knowledge of server-side programming (ASP, ASP.NET).
• Scripting languages such as Javascript, vbscript, jQuery, and ActionScript.
Technical requirements
• Must have High speed internet, no less than 1mbps for download, and .3mbps for upload
• Must be in a quiet environment to ensure professional and undisturbed calls: Headset with Noise cancellation feature will help.
