We promote compost and we need your bookkeeping help!
We are looking for a self-directed person to take care of our weekly and monthly Bookkeeping processes. Our SOPs are well documented and an experienced Bookkeeper should have no issue getting into our flow of things.
Aside from the actual bookkeeping, you will also be responsible for managing our small Finance Team. The Finance Team helps to create reports from our QB file and format them in the way that I am looking for. They help to make our raw data more intelligible, so management can make better, more informed decisions. You will help ensure that their responsibilities are completed on time, with accuracy.
As of now, there is only 1 person on the Team, so this part of the job is a small part when compared with the actual bookkeeping. If you have experience analyzing financial data in order to extract insights from the data, you will be perfect for this role.
This is a long-term position. If we both decide that the arrangement is a good fit for us, the position will be permanent.
Bookkeeping responsibilities include:
– Entering paychecks into QB
– Entering contractor payouts into QB
– Adding bills from our suppliers into QB
– Reconciling all accounts
– Generating reports after each complete update
– Any extra auxiliary tasks that are needed for an update of the books
You must be familiar with QuickBooks Pro Desktop 2014. I am potentially interested in converting our file to QuickBooks Online in the future, but for the time being we will be working in QB Pro Desktop. Experience using both software packages is a plus!
