Virtual Assistant for full time secure position – Upwork

Hello and a big thank you for taking the time to check out my job posting 🙂

My name is Neil and I'm the MD of a business called ROARlocal (roarlocal.com.au)

I also run Australia's (yes I live in Australia) largest community of Amazon ecommerce entrepreneurs.

I'm looking for some help with some daily tasks as we expand our service offering.

LOCATION

I am based on Portugal, my business is based in Australia. You will be expected to work mostly on on an Australia time zone.

HOURS PER WEEK

Starting at approximately 20 hours for the initial trial period, then raising full time with salary thereafter.

This will be a very secure income for you, we look after our team and we’re happy for you to stay long term with us.

Our business is 7 days a week so you will be expected to work a couple of hours on both Saturday and Sunday Please do NOT bid if you are not able to provide 3-4 hours per day with a full time role in 3-4 weeks (once you prove yourself).

TASKS REQUIRED

This is a sample of the work you will be doing.

1. Youtube

– upload videos to youtube channel
– upload personalized cover image
– make sure they are tagged properly and the title is correct
– Add end screens for subscribing and what to watch next
– share the videos on other web properties (facebook, linkedIn, google +, blogger, medium)
– Create a blog post on main website

2. Podcast

– upload mp3 to libsyn
– syndicate to apple + stitcher + google play etc
– Check the title, tags and description
– Add to main website through Bluberry Powerpress

3. General Marketing
– Download new opt ins from the marketing we do from our CRM, then add them to a Facebook custom audience
– Send emails to members
– set up webinars

4. Facebook
– Adding members to a private facebook group (check that they are members first)
– Welcoming them to the group with a pre scripted post
– Updating spreadsheet with weekly results from marketing

5. General VA duties

– Send message to any overdue people
– Answer simple emails (templates provided)
– Fill in information sheets

Everything is done with checklists and systems so it’s OK if you’ve never done it before as long as you’re happy to learn and have attention to detail.

ATTRIBUTES

Ideally I'm looking for the following attributes

– Attention to detail (the ability to follow step by steps systems is vital)
– An ability to communicate in writing in a casual way to Australians
– Consistency, I have a strict 2 strikes and you’re out rule, if you let me down once by not being available that’s OK do it twice and you lose your job
– We teach with a combination of videos and Skype chats, video to show you what I want then Skype to answer questions and clarify any points, you’ll then be expected to turn that training into a written checklist ready for it to be added to our systems manual

IMPORTANT

These things are very important to your ability to do the job:

– Stable fast internet connection (what is your back-up if the internet goes down?)
– Your own computer
– Skype
– Fluent English both written and verbal
– Consistent availability at the following times (Australia) 12pm + 6pm
– If you have a family emergency it’s OK I just want to get told so I can make sure things get done 🙂

The ROLE

How the job will work

I'm looking for someone for 3~-4 hours per day (20 hours a week) currently, although that will rise in the future depending on you and how well you work (please tell me now if you don't have space for additional hours)

You'll log into my accounts and complete the tasks that are outlined in our systems documentation and at the end of the day send me an email with a brief report so that I know everything has been ticked off and to inform me of any problems that need my attention.

You will work and report directly to my manager Orvi, she is based in the Philippines

whilst fluency in these tools is a bonus it is not a requirement.

HOLIDAYS

Do you have holidays booked? If so do let me know in advance.

SALARY

Your initial hourly rate is negotiable depending on experience, you will be hired on a 15 day trial period where you will be paid hourly and once this trial period is over you will go to full time hours and be given a US dollar based salary of $1200 a month
