Sphider 1.3.5 Search Engine modification – oDesk

I need to convert Sphider search expression into a SEO friendly urls or pretty urls.

Sample: http://www.sampledomain/search/search.php?query=mysearch&search=1

Desired result: http://www.sampledomain.com/test_site/search/search/mysearch/1

Or something similar but the php input should not be displayed.

I believe that this can be done using mod_rewrite but I am no expert.

The other requirements is for the search result page should also display an thumbnail image if the search link has an image much like in google search result.

Please give sample sites that you have implemented a search engine using Sphider 1.3.5 before I hire you.
