We would have to start the site from the back end. Meaning create a username and password for every customer they have to view the shipments status.
Once logged, they would have a choice to search the shipments by filling in a container number and/or the Bill of Lading number which is part of the database.
After the Container number is filled out and/or the Bill of Lading, the variable must match the login credentials. Meaning the login account holds the data for the shipment. If it does not match the login, the data should not show—ownership.
The database: SQL on the host, to updated from an Excel spreadsheet. Is this possible?
