Overview
Edukasyon.ph — the leading education technology company in the Philippines — is currently building out the next version of our web platform. Our existing website is built in Ruby on Rails, and our next version is in a combination of technologies, built primarily around Node.js/Express.js on the backend, and Vue.js on the frontend.
We’re looking for part-time (open to full-time) developers who can join us in our bi-weekly sprints to help complete tickets . You will be assigned a scrum team, and will receive a set of tickets to work on for the duration of a sprint. You will be expected to address those tickets as soon as possible and to keep in daily communication with your scrum team.
Objectives
1. Get assigned to a scrum team
2. Review team development practices & processes
3. Agree to a set of tickets to work on with your scrum
4. Complete the tickets. Tasks include
a. Implementing new pages, views, and UI components
b. Implementing new routes and API endpoints
c. Fixing bugs
Requirements
1. Experience with object-oriented JavaScript and ES6 syntax
2. Experience with Node.js
3. Experience using Git and GitHub.com
4.Coordinate with Product Owners and Product Managers on task requirements
5. Update ticket statuses in Jira daily
6. Write performant, efficient code
7. Complete tickets as soon as possible and create Pull Requests and complete Code Review
8. Clearly comment all code
a.Each new function written should have a header at the top indicating input, output, and
expected behavior
