Looking to help grow a small start-up? We are looking for an assistant help build our growing business. Our company is based in Berkeley, California, however, we have small satellite offices in Makati, Philippines and Cebu City, Philippines. Academic Housing Rentals Inc. (AHR) provides co-living community housing for academics. Our fully furnished accommodations are ideal for students, visiting scholars, researchers, and working professionals. It is ideal if the candidate is also willing to relocate to Cebu City, Philippines.
We are looking for a Full-Time Assistant.
Job Description
Tasks may include (but not limited to):
Post sale items in the US
Assist the President
Manage emails and responses
Integrate and update software
Data Entry
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Experience with bookkeeping
Handling incoming calls and other communications.
Managing filing system.
Recording information as needed.
Managing client communication as needed.
Updating paperwork, maintaining documents and word processing.
Helping organize and maintain office common areas.
Performing general office clerk duties and errands.
Organizing travel by booking accommodations and reservations needs as required.
Processing payments and billing for office related utilities and payments
Managing office payroll (2-4 employees onsite)
Maintaining office equipment as needed.
Establish benefits for employees and staff
Creating, maintaining, and entering information into databases.
Requirements
Experience as a virtual assistant.
Associate’s degree or college degree
Experience as an office assistant or in related field.
Ability to write clearly and help with word processing when necessary.
Warm personality with strong communication skills.
Ability to work well under limited supervision.
Great communication skills.
Have a valid driver license.
Attention to detail
Open to working full-time for the next 1-2 years
Willingness to travel locally
Willingness to take on tasks across different disciplines
Willingness to relocate to Cebu

Our sustainable company offers fully furnished housing on a semester, short-term or long-term basis. Our fully-furnished apartments are close to UC Berkeley campus and downtown Berkeley Bart. To make our guests feel more at home, we organize events to have a stronger sense of community. Included in our homes are fully-furnished bedrooms, living and study spaces, with fully-equipped kitchen and bathrooms.
